Lewis Blissett is the 15-year-old who has sent social media into a sixth-month-long frenzy. As he prepares to release new material for the first time, CelebMix brings you all you need to know.
Who is Lewis Blissett?
Have you been living under a rock? Lewis Blissett is a teenage singing sensation with over 1.3 million Instagram followers. An astonishing vocalist with range beyond his years, the Swindon-born star’s covers of Ariana Grande, Sia and more have attracted attention from the industry’s biggest names. Blissett also appeared on the UK’s The Voice Kids and you can find out more about his rapid rise here.
What’s the track called?
The single is called ‘Sick Thoughts’. Cryptically teasing the track name on his Instagram a few weeks ago, Blissett’s fandom have been sharing the hype through sick-face and brain emojis online.
When is release date?
The countdown is on, with seven days left until release day on Wednesday, May 14th. Have you marked your calendar?
What will ‘Sick Thoughts’ sound like?
Dark and pretty darn moody. Lewis Blissett isn’t waiting to stamp personality on his own music. With only a couple of short snippets to go off so far, ‘Sick Thoughts’ sounds like electropop flowing from airy to distorted. Perhaps not surprisingly if you know Blissett, think Ariana Grande meets Billie Eilish.
Who’s been working on the track?
It may only be his first track, but with such high-profile fans, Blissett has wasted no time in working with some of the industry’s big names. EASYFUN is one of the producers at the helm of the genre-bending collective PC Music, he recently supported Charli XCX at her sold-out Village Underground show in London, and is involved. YAMI has written for acts including M.O. and Raye and is involved, as are Canadian singer Faangs and vocal producer Daniel Zaidenstadt, who has worked with the likes of Rita Ora, ZAYN and Camila Cabello, amongst others.
What’s next from Lewis Blissett?
With ‘Sick Thoughts’ having all the hallmarks of a first single hit, the sky is the limit for Blissett. And at 15-years-old, with millions already convinced, there’s no rush either. More singles, potentially an EP or just more time to grow as an artist. The future is bright.
