Carlo Marks is a Canadian-American actor. He has appeared in the film Moonlight in Vermont, as well as on the series Smallville and Pretty Little Liars, among other titles.

His father is from Oregon, and is mostly of Polish and Scottish descent. His mother is from California, and has German, English, Norwegian, Swiss-German, and Northern Irish/Scots-Irish ancestry.

Carlo’s paternal grandfather was Stephen Chester Markowski/Marks (the daughter of Joseph Markowski and Aniela/Aurela “Angeline” Michalek/Michalec). Stephen was born in Wisconsin, to parents from Russia/Austria, now Poland.

Carlo’s paternal grandmother was Catherine Pamela MacKenzie (the daughter of Charles MacKenzie and Olive). Catherine was born in Townsville, Queensland, Australia.

Carlo’s maternal grandfather was Lyle Newton Hoag (the son of Lyle Newton Hoag and Esther/Ester Ernestine Hanson). Carlo’s grandfather Lyle was born in California. Carlo’s great-grandfather Lyle was born in Missouri, the son of Charles Henry Hoag and Minnie Myrtle Bricker. Esther was born in Washington, the daughter of Christian Anton Hanson, whose father was Norwegian, and whose mother was the daughter of Norwegian parents; and of Dorthea Maria Blom, whose parents were Norwegian.

Carlo’s maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Joyce “Betty Jo” Breitmayer (the daughter of Florenz Breitmayer and Amy B. Heyer). Elizabeth was born in Oregon. Florenz was born in Michigan, the son of Wilhelm Breitmayer, who was German, and of Mary Siegrist, whose parents were German. Amy was born in Wisconsin, the daughter of Emil Jacob Heyer, whose parents were German, and of Emma Agnes Henrietta Hoffman, whose father was German and whose mother was the daughter of German parents.
