It didn't take long for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson to make an impact. The rookie threw a touchdown in relief in his very first NFL game and has since led the Texans to a road win over the Cincinnati Bengals and a near upset as two-touchdown underdogs on the road against the New England Patriots.

Now, he's stepping up off the field, too.

Watson donated the check from his first game to three women who work in the cafeteria at NRG Stadium, home of the Texans. The women were particularly affected by the damage of Hurricane Harvey. Watson, who has a base salary of $465,000, wrote a check for $27,353.

"For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all," Watson told the women, handing them envelopes wrapped in ribbon. Check out the touching moment below:

What makes this story even cooler is that Watson was on the receiving end of such a donation. When Watson was a child, Warrick Dunnno stranger to acts of kindness – built a house for Watson's mother as part of Habitat for Humanity.

Now that he's in a position to help impact others, Watson is making the most of his opportunity. The Texans may have found a great quarterback. But they definitely found a great guy.
