Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend and childhood friend Safaree “SB” Samuels has released his latest track ‘Lifeline’ openly dissing Nicki and her fiancee Meek Mills.
The tune features aggressive lines such as “This n**** bent outta shape wit a gorilla face” attacking Mills’ appearance and “I thought I left her so she could move on to better things// Maybe a ball player, maybe a soccer player//Maybe a billionaire” brazenly bashing Minaj for lowering her standards.
A bold move on Safaree’s part, Lifeline is the upcoming rappers second single this year chronicling his failed relationship with Nicki following previously released ‘Love The Most‘ which overtly berates their 12-year tryst, and accuses the star of being ashamed of their romantic involvement. Claiming he lived in the shadow of her stardom, Samuels was often pictured by Nicki’s side posing as her hype-man as she shot to fame back in 2009. The pair broke up in late 2014 as their relationship began to unravel, subsequently Minaj began dating Meek Mills earlier this year, proudly professing her love for the hip-hop star via twitter.
Nicki has also publicly hit back at Safaree’s claims in the song, that he wrote verses for her most recent album The Pinkprint, stating that all her rhymes are her own as no-body else would have the heart, mind-frame or intellect to produce them.
