Facundo Buonanotte will get more game time at Brighton, with Solly March (knee) and Danny Welbeck (hamstring) ruled out of Roberto De Zerbi's attacking options by long-term injuries.
Argentinian Buonanotte, 18, has made one Premier League start this season and one start in the Carabao Cup.
Head coach De Zerbi says: "I don't want to cry (about the injuries). Sometimes coaches cry when they lose players, but we have to move on, work harder to find a different solution.
"Facundo Buonanotte will find more space (to get chances) for sure. (Simon) Adingra will become more important, Evan Ferguson as important as he was last season.
"And we are waiting for Julio Enciso (torn meniscus). I don't know how much time he needs to be back in the group."
James Milner or Igor Julio will fill in at left-back in the Europa League against Ajax at the Amex tonight, with the versatile March, Pervis Estupinan and Tariq Lamptey all side-lined.
Estupinan, the first-choice left-back, trained away from the main group with Adam Lallana on Wednesday. The Ecuador international has missed the last three matches with a muscle injury.
